Job summary

First Tech Federal Credit Union is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to support Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Risk, and Regulatory Reporting by developing and managing financial data assets, ETL processes, dashboards, and reports.

The role involves collaborating across teams, ensuring data integrity, and modernizing data platforms using cloud technologies and Databricks. A bachelor's degree and 2+ years in data analytics are required, with strong SQL and BI experience.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other technical discipline and 2+ years' experience in data analytics.
  • Very strong SQL background.
  • Experience with designing and developing ETL processes (Snaplogic, Talend Open Studio, AirFlow, DBT etc).
  • Experience with cloud-based data environments, preferably AWS.
  • Experience with BI solutions (Tableau, Qlik Sense, SAP Business Object Reports, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others at all levels of technical understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial data assets supporting financial and regulatory analysis.
  • Design, develop, and support data processes to acquire, transform, validate, and load data from multiple source systems.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service BI solutions using BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Partner with Finance, Treasury, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, and engineering teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into data and reporting solutions.
  • Perform data analysis, reconciliation, and validation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
  • Document business rules, data lineage, technical specifications, and operational procedures per governance standards.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve reporting efficiency, and enhance data quality controls.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to support modernization using cloud data platforms, Databricks, and enterprise data architecture.

This role is responsible for supporting Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Risk, and Regulatory Reporting teams by developing and managing financial data, reporting, and analytics solutions. The Analyst will work with large datasets, build ETL processes, create dashboards and reports, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and help modernize data platforms using cloud technologies .
