Job summary

4p-Consulting-Inc. in Birmingham, AL seeks a Data Analytics Analyst I to support the Operations Data Analytics team, onboarding and maintaining generation asset data across solar, BESS, gas, hydro, and environmental projects.

You will work with project teams to collect, validate, and organize equipment data in Maximo and related systems, enabling accurate reporting and insights. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or related technical field preferred.
• 1–3 years of data analytics, data management, or related technical experience.
• Experience accessing, integrating, analyzing, and reporting data from multiple sources.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support new and existing generation projects by developing and updating equipment hierarchies.
• Create and review preventative maintenance activities, job plans, and inventory data.
• Gather, validate, and analyze technical equipment data.
• Maintain equipment information in accordance with D-11 Equipment Identification and Description Standard.
• Work with plant teams to develop accurate equipment systems and subsystem structures.
• Promote data consistency and standardization across generating facilities.
• Support maintenance strategy development for new and existing generation assets.
• Perform daily analysis of technical and operational data.
• Conduct like-unit comparisons, identify best practices, and apply lessons learned across the fleet.
• Provide field support and perform generating plant equipment walkdowns as needed.
