Job summary

Ithaca College is seeking an Data Analytics Analyst I to develop reports, dashboards, and analyses that inform decision-making across the college. You will work with senior analysts and campus stakeholders to deliver accurate data and advance human-centered AI initiatives while supporting data governance and data literacy efforts.

The role emphasizes collaboration, ethical AI use, and ongoing skills development in analytics tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with data analysis through coursework, internships, or work experience.
• Foundational understanding of statistics and quantitative reasoning.
• Working knowledge of Excel or similar tool, formulas, and data organization.
• Interest in and willingness to learn and apply AI tools responsibly.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to learn and apply data analytics tools and methodologies.
• Demonstrated analytical curiosity to investigate data, identify patterns, and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards under supervision to provide actionable information.
• Analyze and interpret data to support decision-making across the institution.
• Create documentation for data models, reports, dashboards, and analytics processes.
• Collaborate with campus stakeholders to understand data needs and develop analytics solutions.
• Support data literacy and promote responsible use of institutional data.
