Catapult Solutions Group is seeking a hands-on Data Analyst for a 12-18 month contract on a remote basis in the United States. You will clean, merge, and move project data across Excel, Microsoft Project Professional, and a SaaS PPM platform (Project Insight), tying into Jira, ServiceNow, Zephyr, OneNote, and related sources.

We are seeking a hands-on Data Analyst who is a practical data-tools generalist, not a niche cloud data warehouse specialist. This person will clean, merge, and move project data across Excel, Microsoft Project Professional, and a newly selected SaaS PPM platform (Project Insight), while connecting work that today lives in Jira, ServiceNow, Zephyr, OneNote, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as the hands-on data person who does the work: clean, format, merge, and load project data rather than only gathering requirements.
• Master and maintain Excel-based extracts and updates (including multi-column prioritization data) and reconcile them into Microsoft Project Professional plans without row misalignment.
• Support implementation of Project Insight as the emerging system of record for project plans and related project data.
• Integrate and connect data across the current toolchain as the team grows, including Excel, Microsoft Project Professional, Project Insight, Jira, OneNote, Zephyr, ServiceNow, and related sources.
• Merge multiple versions of the same files and keep metadata aligned across Agile and Waterfall workstreams.
• Stay ahead of incoming data files so the program lead can speak to the plan without manually repairing data all day.

Required Skills

• Hands-on Data Analyst / data-tools generalist profile (not a Snowflake or Databricks specialist role).
• Expert-level Microsoft Excel.
• Strong Microsoft Project Professional skills, including updating and reconciling large plans.
• Comfort working across Agile and Waterfall metadata and project structures.
• Proven ability to merge multiple file versions and fix formatting / alignment issues in large datasets.
• Ability to learn new SaaS PPM tooling quickly (Project Insight is newly selected and kickoff is imminent).
• Practical experience integrating or moving data between common project and ITSM tools (examples discussed: Jira, ServiceNow, Zephyr, OneNote).
• Detail orientation and capacity to work under time pressure while plans scale (example discussed: plans growing toward approximately 5,000 tasks).

Preferred Skills

• Prior exposure to PPM / project portfolio tools and establishing a system of record for project plans.
• Familiarity with Power BI and/or SAP data touchpoints in a project or PMO context.
• Experience supporting program or PMO leaders by owning the data layer while they operate at a higher level.
• Any prior Project Insight experience (nice to have; tool is newly adopted).
