Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to validate customer remediation events, using SQL, SAS, and Excel across SQL Server, Oracle, Netezza, PostgreSQL and more. You will challenge outcomes to ensure accuracy and timely remediation.

You will collaborate with business teams through milestones, conduct population testing, and review calculations before presenting results. A hybrid schedule supports in-office collaboration and remote work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than six years of applicable experience.
• Strong SQL skills across multiple DB sources.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Netezza.
• Proficiency with SAS Enterprise Guide.
• Advanced Excel and BI tool knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performing analysis of data from Customer Remediation Events in accordance with the Customer Remediation Policy.
• Using SQL database queries to pull data from SQL Server, Oracle, and Netezza, the analyst utilizes tools such as SAS, Excel, Toad, pgAdmin, Visual Studio Code or similar data tools to transform and analyze the data.
• Using data to compare to an initial population created by the business to challenge the accuracy and completeness of the initial population as well as the remediation calculations and totals.
• Once population consensus is reached, partnering with the business to work through the remaining milestones and through the remainder of the remediation process until the event is completed.
• Executing population and milestone testing during validation of customer remediation events.
• Reviewing and testing remediation population data to validate complete and accurate remediation populations and calculations are provided to customers.
• Providing critical challenge of business line data processes while ensuring comprehensive population and calculation data.
• Credibly challenging data extraction, population verification, and financial calculations.
