Job summary

University of Tennessee is seeking a Data Analyst to support the three-year Supporting Families That Support Their Kin project, a statewide randomized trial and cost evaluation. You will manage de-identified data, build reproducible analytic files, and develop dashboards for CQI and reporting.

Working with DCS, providers, and federal partners, you will ensure confidentiality, monitor randomization, and translate results into actionable information for leadership and policymakers.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in analytics, statistics, data science, public health, economics, computer science, social science, or related quantitative field.
• At least three years of professional experience in data management, statistical analysis, data reporting, and visualization.
• Experience cleaning and linking data from multiple sources and communicating findings clearly in writing and orally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data dictionaries, database specifications, secure transfer workflows, reproducible analytic files, and version-controlled code.
• Receive, clean, standardize, de-duplicate, merge, and document de-identified data from administrative, provider, and survey sources.
• Build and run validation rules, audit trails, and monthly quality checks across all data.
• Support statistical analyses and cost analyses using reproducible programming.
• Create monthly dashboards and data summaries for enrollment, timeliness, fidelity, and costs.
• Document analytic decisions, code, and datasets; provide technical assistance to staff.
