Job summary

Grady Health System seeks a TRC Data Analyst to support the TRC program through clinical data collection, management, analysis, visualization, reporting and performance monitoring. The role collaborates with Epic and other data sources to build HIPAA‑compliant databases, dashboards, and reports that aid research, grant activities, and strategic decisions.

Minimum 2 years of experience in performance measurement and data analysis in health/public policy, with strong R, SQL, and BI tools

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Health Administration, Public Administration, Policy Analysis, Program Evaluation, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience conducting performance measurement and evaluation research and data analysis in the public health/policy/administration field, including applied and secondary research, data science, and data management for research (including R programming, data cleaning, statistical analysis, developing data products using R, and conducting reproducible research in R using multiple data sources).
  • Current Epic accreditations in Cogito/Clinical/Clarity/Caboodle Data Models.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical data collection, management, analysis, visualization, and reporting activities.
  • Develop and integrate data structures and workflows with electronic health records.
  • Support program performance monitoring and evaluation research, including publication-related efforts.
  • Provide data management training and education related to Grady TRC data management.
  • Assess, analyze, and report performance improvements, and present data findings in strategy meetings.
  • Develop and implement performance measures and program evaluation designs.
  • Collaborate on publishable research studies to advance the TRC model, and support the TRC program manager with research activities connected to grant development.
  • Determine TRC data collection needs and develop corresponding data structures based on program design, performance measurement, program evaluation, research, and reporting requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain HIPAA-compliant databases, datasets, data collection instruments, and data management systems customized for TRC implementation outside and in connection with Grady’s EMR.
  • Construct a data collection process aligned with TRC Clinician workflow and integrate TRC data collection methods, workflows, and structures with Epic, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and availability.
  • Develop survey designs and electronic survey instruments, and facilitate survey data collection and reporting.
  • Extract, transform, analyze, and visualize clinical data from Epic/Clarity/Caboodle analytical databases and other TRC data sources using SQL, Access/VBA, R, Power BI, Tableau, and other tools.
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain TRC data dashboards for performance monitoring and program performance improvement.
  • Provide regular performance reporting to CJCC and other stakeholders via VSSR, OPM, iMPROVE and/or other tools.
  • Create analytical reports for the TRC clinical team and other stakeholders to support operations, performance monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Conduct scholarly, empirical, and secondary, literature-based research on violent crime, its social and psychological impacts, and relevant public health or policy interventions to support program review, logic model improvement, grant development, and evaluation projects.
