Job summary

NYC Criminal Justice Agency in New York City is seeking a Data Analyst to support the DART team by defining study populations, pulling and cleaning administrative data, and producing tables, visualizations, and written products for technical and non-technical audiences.

You will collaborate across CJA to answer policy and operational questions, assist with analytic planning, document methods, and ensure findings are reproducible and responsive to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, applied research, or related field.
• Experience with administrative or government/criminal justice data is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for policy-oriented work.

Responsibilities

• Analytics & Data Science – use R or Python and SQL to prepare, clean, analyze data and build reproducible workflows.
• Research Support – define analytic questions, develop measures, run analyses, and update prior work.
• Program and Policy Analysis – analyze programs, operations, trends, and outcomes for policy insights.
• Collaboration – create tables, visuals, dashboards, and summaries for diverse audiences.
• Project Management – manage tasks, timelines, and stakeholder communication.
