Job summary

NOVA Home Loans is seeking a Data Analyst intern to develop prototypes and ad-hoc reports addressing NOVA's data requirements. You will manage analysis requests, prioritize data-driven solutions, and contribute to Technology initiatives.

You may oversee sensitive data assets and support cross-department projects. Ideal candidates have a background in finance, economics, data science, or MIS, plus hands-on experience with SQL Server and Power BI, and a desire to evolve within a data-centric

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required; bachelor's degree in finance, economics, data science, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in the Data Analyst role, including working with big data tools, Power BI, and SQL Server is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
• 2+ years' experience in a business analysis role and/or a BS in Data Science; MIS/Business Information Technology; or Systems Engineering/Design and Documentation.
• 1+ years' experience within the mortgage industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build infrastructure for ETL from diverse data sources using SQL technologies.
• Automate processes to improve efficiency and data delivery.
• Develop forward-thinking data systems to enhance productivity.
• Identify and recommend improvements to suboptimal processes.
• Lead data identification and align data with business goals.
• Publish reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
