Job summary

Talentify is seeking a data analyst to perform data discovery, mapping, and validation for new ingestions. The role requires translating business needs into technical requirements and collaborating with SMEs and the technical team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data analysis and data warehousing, strong SQL skills, and experience with PowerBI/SSRS. Mortgage domain knowledge is a plus, with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of data analysis and data warehouse build experience.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on SQL at an intermediate/advanced level.
• Minimum 3 years PowerBI and SSRS reporting experience.
• Mortgage industry knowledge is preferred.
• Strong data profiling, data quality, and data validation/testing skills.
• Effective communication with business SMEs and technical teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements to technical specs.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform data discovery and requirements for new data ingestions.
• Conduct in-depth analysis for source-to-target mapping.
• Develop data dictionaries and perform data testing and validation.
• Gather and document data requirements and reporting needs.
• Communicate effectively through meetings, chat, email, and in‑person.
• Collaborate with business SMEs and translate needs to the technical team.
• Proactively seek prioritization of work and manage time.
