Job summary

Antelope Valley Medical Center is seeking a Materials Management Data Analyst to coordinate set-up, maintenance, and training for materials management systems. This role focuses on optimizing processes and expanding use of Horizon Materials Management.

You will implement EDI with suppliers, cleanse data, and support IT with data interface maintenance while educating end users on new procedures and e-commerce workflows.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Horizon Materials Management or similar systems.
  • Experience with data cleansing and validation in supply chain systems.
  • Ability to educate end users on new procedures and software updates.
  • Strong computer proficiency and office tools knowledge.

Description

Job Objective: The Materials Management Data Analyst is responsible for coordinating the Medical Center’s set-up, maintenance, department staff education and customer training in relation to processes and systems used in materials management. Scrub, maintain, and expand utilization of the materials management information systems. Establish methods for utilizing emerging technology in alignment with departmental objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

A. Supports, evaluates and implements advanced technology to improve overall supply chain management processes and e-commerce initiatives

1. Implement EDI with suppliers

2. Implement and monitor proper use of EDI transaction sets

3. Recommend/implement appropriate E-Commerce initiatives as related to improved work processes

4. Educate and train end users of new/revised processes

5. Educate end users in HEMM e-commerce ordering and processes

6. Maintains and tests remote devices

B. Perform data cleansing, audit, and validation in concert with established standards.

1. Reviews Item Master builds and ensures/updates data to standards

2. Reviews Vendor Master builds and ensures/updates to standards

3. Assists surgery with maintenance of HEMMS to Surgery systems data interface

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge

Knowledge of Materials Management Information Systems in particular Horizon Materials Management acquired through one or more years’ experience or college level coursework in supply chain software.

Knowledge of generally accepted purchasing and inventory practices generally acquired through one or more years’ experience in a materials management department.

Education and Experience:

Education

High School Graduate or General Educational (GED) Test Equivalency Certificate required

Experience

Two years in healthcare materials management experience or one year supply chain information systems experience.

Mckesson Horizon enterprise materials management experience preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work usually performed in an office/warehouse/hospital environment and dock area

Work may be noisy and subject to many interruptions, distractions and temperature variations

Tolerate repetitive arms movements and viewing of video display terminal

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds
