Washington, DC, USA

Job Description

Posted Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at 5:00 AM

TekPro Support Services is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support the Customer Enterprise Logistics Support Services program. The Data Analyst will independently collect, validate, analyze, interpret, and report operational and performance data supporting logistics, transportation, warehouse, mail, supply, relocation, inventory, and related service activities.

This position serves as the program's primary analytical resource and is expected to work with limited day-to-day supervision. The analyst will convert operational data into accurate, usable information that supports program management, customer reporting, workload forecasting, performance monitoring, staffing decisions, quality control, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, managing multiple recurring and ad hoc reporting requirements, identifying data inconsistencies, developing analytical products, and communicating findings clearly to program leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Management

  • Collect operational data from multiple sources, including spreadsheets, databases, logistics systems, transportation records, inventory systems, service-ticket systems, and customer-provided reports.
  • Consolidate data from multiple operational locations into standardized program-level datasets.
  • Review source data for completeness, accuracy, consistency, duplication, and formatting errors.
  • Establish and maintain organized datasets that support recurring program reporting and historical trend analysis.
  • Maintain appropriate data dictionaries, report definitions, calculations, and source documentation.
  • Identify missing, conflicting, or questionable data and coordinate with operational personnel to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain version control and appropriate records for recurring reports and analytical products.

Data Analysis

  • Analyze workload, productivity, staffing, service levels, utilization, costs, trends, and operational performance.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of program activities.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, recurring problems, emerging risks, and performance gaps.
  • Compare actual performance against established requirements, historical performance, targets, or management expectations.
  • Conduct aging, volume, throughput, workload, variance, and trend analyses.
  • Develop forecasts and estimates based on historical data and known operational changes.
  • Support staffing and resource assessments by analyzing workload requirements and labor utilization.
  • Perform root-cause analysis when data indicates recurring operational or performance issues.
  • Develop analytical models and calculations that support management decision-making.

Reporting and Dashboards

  • Develop and maintain recurring daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required.
  • Prepare clear management summaries that explain what the data shows, why it matters, and what actions may be required.
  • Create charts, graphs, tables, dashboards, scorecards, and other visual presentations of program data.
  • Maintain standardized report templates and ensure consistent reporting across supported functions.
  • Develop exception reports that highlight overdue actions, service failures, data anomalies, or operational risks.
  • Prepare executive-level summaries for the Program Manager and government customer when requested.
  • Produce ad hoc reports and analyses in response to management or customer requests.

Program Performance Support

  • Track Key Performance Indicators, service-level measures, workload metrics, and other performance requirements.
  • Support Contract Data Requirements List, quality-control, customer-reporting, and internal management-reporting requirements as applicable.
  • Assist program leadership with identifying performance trends before they become significant operational issues.
  • Support analysis of labor utilization, staffing levels, vacancies, overtime, workload distribution, and productivity.
  • Analyze operational data to assist with workload balancing between facilities or work groups.
  • Support cost, funding, and resource analyses when requested by program leadership.
  • Assist with developing estimates for new requirements, staffing changes, surge requirements, and proposed contract modifications.

Logistics and Operational Analysis

The analyst may support data associated with:

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive reporting activities.
  • Develop standardized templates and tools that improve reporting speed and accuracy.
  • Work with supervisors and operational personnel to improve the quality of source data.
  • Assist management in developing performance measures for new or changing requirements.
