Job summary

Jobtailor in New York is seeking a data analytics professional to write SQL queries, automate reporting in Python, and build dashboards in Power BI. You will work with data from Snowflake, Excel, CSV, JSON, and REST APIs, collaborating with senior analysts to ensure accuracy across operational, clinical, and financial datasets.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in data analytics, strong SQL, Python, and BI tool experience, plus familiarity with cloud data platforms and Git.

Qualifications

1–3 years of experience in data analytics, BI, or related field.
Strong foundational SQL skills (joins, aggregations, filtering, transformations).
Working knowledge of Python for data analysis or automation.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable BI tool.
Strong Excel skills.
Understanding of relational databases and basic data modeling concepts.
Experience with Snowflake or another cloud data platform preferred.
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, or automated data processes preferred.
Familiarity with Git or source-control tools preferred.

Responsibilities

Write SQL queries to extract, combine, and analyze data from multiple systems.
Use Python to automate reporting, data validation, file processing, and repetitive tasks.
Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI and other reporting tools.
Analyze operational, clinical, and financial data to support decision making.
Support recurring reporting and ad hoc data requests.
Clean, validate, and reconcile data to ensure reporting accuracy.
