Job summary

University of Missouri-Columbia's Research Analytics team is seeking a Data Analyst II who will translate business needs into technical solutions that support the university’s research mission. This role will create sustainable data analytics and reporting workflows, primarily using Power BI, Excel, and R, to inform decision-making across the campus.

You will independently lead projects, develop end-user reports, and guide both technical and functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing end-user reports and dashboards.
• Experience with data pipelines and semantic models.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-user reports and dashboards using Power BI, Excel, and R.
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and workflows (e.g., Microsoft Fabric).
• Perform process improvements to enhance data quality and efficiency.
• Translate analyses into clear, actionable business insights and collaborate across departments.
• Engage in research administration activities using data-informed approaches.
