Qualifications

  • Strong SQL, ELT, and data modeling skills; experience with BI tools and Agile.

This professional utilizes their business expertise to closely collaborate with product owners, data engineers, and stakeholders to define and refine product requirements, leveraging data insights to inform strategic decisions. They are responsible for analyzing user behavior, market trends, and product performance metrics to guide feature development, optimize user experience, and drive business growth.In this role, the analyst serves as a subject matter expert (SME), ensuring data quality and governance, translating complex datasets into actionable insights, and supporting the creation of self-service analytics platforms. Strong communication and strategic thinking are essential, as the analyst must present findings clearly and influence cross-functional teams.Technical Skills and ExpertiseData Analysis & Visualization: Skilled in tools like Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc. for data analysis and visual storytelling.Business Intelligence Tools: Experience with BI platforms and reporting tools to create dashboards and monitor KPIs.Process Modeling & Workflow Analysis: Familiar with tools like Visio or Lucidchart to map and optimize business processes.Software Testing Principles: Understanding manual and automated testing, test cases, and QA processes.Agile Methodologies: Comfortable working in Agile environments using tools like JIRA for backlog and sprint management.Requirements & Documentation: Skilled in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements.Data Governance & Quality Assurance: Ensures data integrity and consistency across systems and reports.Programming Basics: Exposure to scripting languages such as SQL for data manipulation and automation.Stakeholder Communication: Ability to translate technical findings into business language and influence decision-makingPosition Responsibilities:Independently elicit requirements & analysis for creation of enterprise data assets. Create reports and contribute to various data governance & management initiatives. Research and analyze data to drive business decisions.Partner with Data Engineers, Stakeholders, and Product Owner to understand requirements and business processes. Independently support the development and maintenance of enterprise data sets, reporting systems and/or reporting tools to provide business value.Support ad hoc research and analysis activities. Present and communicate insights from research and analysis. to business users and managers.Contribute to Data Catalog and Analytics Community of PracticePresent and explain complex analytics concepts & methodologies to non-technical business partners.Direction of Others:Relies on experience to plan and accomplish goals.
