Job description

Title: Data Analyst - GIS
Location: NY, NY
Terms: Contract
Compensation: $38-$41/hour
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US

The analyst will be responsible for collecting, processing, and interfacing with the GIS team to understand business needs. This role reports to the GIS Head of Strategic Projects & Architecture and involves working with the GIS team and stakeholders to provide data analysis, reporting, and development to support various initiatives within the GIS organization. The candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within the team and across projects. The scope of work is global, supporting the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions.

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement Business Systems.
2. Analyze and process large data sets, including data evaluation.
3. Generate business knowledge reports.
4. Define MIS requirements and needs.
5. Evaluate and improve information processes as needed.
6. Perform routine data checks.
7. Report to the Head of Strategic Projects & Architecture.
8. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and communicate status.
9. Utilize tools like PowerBI and SQL.
10. Collect and analyze data to identify methods for improving decision-making.
11. Assist with documentation supporting projects.
12. Coordinate with GIS development, business teams, and stakeholders to implement GIS projects and systems.
13. Provide reporting to the Technology PMO for tracking project status and progress.

Qualifications:

• Strong educational background and experience working with Financial Services & Banking organizations.
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools such as SQL, PowerBI, web development, and .NET.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels and influence across organizations.
• Ability to assess and communicate status to senior management for decision-making.
