Job summary

DRW in Chicago is seeking a Data Analyst, Exploration to help onboard, manage and maintain datasets used by traders and researchers. You will collaborate with data strategists, data engineers and cross-functional teams in technology, operations, research and risk management.

You will investigate data issues in a fast-paced environment, profile new datasets, and surface insights to front-office stakeholders while improving data quality and cataloging processes.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong foundational knowledge of financial instruments and market data symbology.
• Proficiency with SQL and Python for exploratory data analysis.
• Ability to document and clearly explain complex data analysis findings.
• Exceptional attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze new datasets to profile content and surface insights for data strategists and front-office stakeholders.
• Collect metrics and analyze data quality dimensions: completeness, validity, accuracy, timeliness, consistency.
• Curate data catalog entries for discoverability of research data assets.
• Engage with global front office teams to support datasets throughout their lifecycle and manage vendor communications.
• Monitor and resolve production data issues with multiple stakeholders across teams.
