Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory's Interceptor and Sensor Technology Group seeks candidates to work with our dynamic teams on challenging analysis and technology development problems. Projects span missile defense, hypersonic technologies, and sensor/algorithm development.

Candidates should hold a PhD or an MS with 5–7 years of experience in physics, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related fields and demonstrate excellence in problem solving and learning

Qualifications

  • PhD or MS with 5–7 years in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar quantitative discipline

Responsibilities

  • Lead challenging analysis and technology development problems in missile defense and hypersonic systems
  • Apply physics-based reasoning and numerical methods to develop insightful solutions
  • Develop and evaluate algorithms, models, simulations, and quantitative analyses
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and sponsors across teams and missions
  • Possess project management and interpersonal skills to lead small-to-medium teams
