Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA seeks a Physics and Technology Analyst-Technical Staff to perform systems analysis studies for DoD missions. You will develop physics- and engineering-based models across sensors, aircraft, satellites, and communications, and present findings to senior leaders.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, learn rapidly, and deliver high-quality briefings and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Aeronautics/Astronautics, Engineering, or related field; or Master’s with 5+ years of experience.
  • Ability to work independently and with highly interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technical areas and adapt to new domains.
  • Experience communicating findings to DoD leaders and cross-functional audiences.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances (Top Secret).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physics- and engineering-based analyses for DoD missions and new technologies.
  • Develop models for sensors, aircraft, satellites, communication systems, navigation, and data exploitation.
  • Prepare and present high-quality briefings to DoD senior leaders and Lincoln Laboratory colleagues.
