Job summary

Emerson in Marshalltown, IA offers a data analytics co‑op where you assist in designing data architecture and organizing data from manufacturing and global service partners, as well as front end ordering systems. You will develop automated routines for data collection, pre-processing, and integrity checks to prepare for analysis.

You will collaborate with research and data science teams to perform exploratory analytics, identify trends, and contribute to planning and roadmapping new features.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in a STEM field.
• Experience with SQL and Python.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related engineering or science field

• Experience with SQL and Python

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Junior or Senior class standing
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
• C#, C++, Java or other object-oriented programming skills desired
• Experience in data collection, pre-processing, and relational database models
• Possess strong analytical, problem solving, and decision‑making skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Familiarity with data visualization, management, and storage tools are a plus
