Position Overview:

Responsible for developing, documenting, and supporting standardized and customized reports by accessing data stored in various business application databases.The Distribution Systems -- Technical Solutions Development (DEV) team's mission is to enable our distribution capabilities and drive client engagement through technology, information design, and process improvements that deliver our products, services, and brand promise to customers and prospects. More specifically the DEV team drives the vision, strategic development, implementation, and on-going support of Distribution systems (Manhattan SCALE WMS) Applications / tools across businesses and regions. This team also manages client information and reporting systems (MS SSRS & PowerBI) and ensures reliable & efficient management and access to those.

Work Location:This is a remote position.

Work Schedule:First Shift - Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Work Travel:Less than 10% domestic travel.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the Reports development lifecycle including understanding of requirements, designing and development of reports
• Assess reporting requests for feasibility and provide estimate of development time
• Analyze tables in the (Warehouse/Distribution, Trading Partner, Billing, and Labor management systems) establish knowledge of data for accurate retrieval and use in report writing.
• Writing and maintaining technical documentation based on business and functional requirements.
• Utilize available tools such as MS SSRS, PowerBI, MS Excel to develop and deliver reports per business needs.
• Creating SQL Queries to provide ad-hoc reports, analysis, and datasets based on business needs
• Present reporting data in a standardized way (logos, data formats etc.) that is meaningful and readily accessible to associates.
• Provide support to end users on standardized and ad hoc reports
• Troubleshooting data issues, validating result sets, performing unit testing
• Educate requestors as to appropriate and desirable parameters to ensure they get the information they need
• Collaborate with Business Analysts/end users to understand/gather report requirements and ensure proper testing and validation.

This role is open to individuals who are authorized to work in the United States and do not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 to 5 years of working experience in developing Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and PowerBI reports
• 2+ years of working experience in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures & scripts
• Able to focus on development & design details and quality verification work on multiple tasks across various fast-paced projects.

• Able to take responsibility for all work activities and personal actions
• Ensure others involved in project or effort are kept informed of development status and plans
• Does what they commit to doing and respects confidentiality of others
• Able to seek clarification/guidance (functionality/requirements/priority) from senior team members
• Have good written and verbal communications skills
• Knowledge of Python is a plus
• Knowledge of Distribution/Warehousing and Transportation is a plus
• BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
