Job Description:

Position Overview:
Responsible for developing, documenting, and supporting standardized and customized reports by accessing data stored in various business application databases. The Distribution Systems -- Technical Solutions Development (DEV) team aims to enable our distribution capabilities and enhance client engagement through technology, information design, and process improvements, delivering our products, services, and brand promise to customers and prospects. The team manages the vision, strategic development, implementation, and ongoing support of Distribution systems (Manhattan SCALE WMS) applications and tools across regions. Additionally, it oversees client information and reporting systems (MS SSRS & PowerBI) to ensure reliable and efficient data management and access.

Work Location: Remote

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm (First Shift)

Work Travel: Less than 10% domestic travel

Compensation & Benefits: Attractive annual salary of $90,000-$100,000 plus performance-based bonus, health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the report development lifecycle, including understanding requirements, designing, and developing reports.
  • Evaluate reporting requests for feasibility and estimate development time.
  • Analyze tables in Warehouse/Distribution, Trading Partner, Billing, and Labor Management systems to understand data for accurate report creation.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation based on business and functional requirements.
  • Use tools such as MS SSRS, PowerBI, and MS Excel to develop and deliver reports that meet business needs.
  • Create SQL queries for ad-hoc reports, analysis, and datasets.
  • Present data in a standardized, accessible format with appropriate branding and formatting.
  • Support end-users with reports and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Validate results, perform unit testing, and educate requestors on parameter usage.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and end-users to gather requirements and ensure proper testing and validation.

This role is open to individuals authorized to work in the United States without requiring future immigration sponsorship.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience developing reports with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and PowerBI.
  • At least 2 years of experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
  • Ability to focus on detail-oriented development and quality verification across multiple fast-paced projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to take responsibility for all work activities and personal actions.
  • Keep team members informed of development status and plans.
  • Follow through on commitments and maintain confidentiality.
  • Seek clarification or guidance from senior team members when needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Distribution/Warehousing and Transportation is a plus.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field.
