Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Army Sustainment Command with advanced analytics, modeling, and software-enabled improvements.

You will work with the GLASS team on high-visibility projects, delivering data-driven recommendations, reports, and dashboards to improve materiel readiness and efficiency. Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• US Citizenship.
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, or other related discipline.
• 1 year of experience working directly on a data science team.
• Working knowledge of Python, Java, R, MATLAB and associated libraries.
• Experience creating data visualizations and interactive dashboards (Excel, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, RShiny, plotly, d3.js).
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of data science methods related to data architecture, data munging, data and feature engineering.
• Experience developing software to generate reports and visualizations that summarize data sets and provide data-driven insights.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and analytics to produce algorithms and/or business process recommendations.
• Use data, algorithms, and analyses to identify and apply mechanisms to improve readiness through software and business process improvements.
• Address complex analytical challenges and develop comprehensive solutions for software and workflows.
• Develop analytics and process solution sets with cost-effective approaches.
• Regularly identify and communicate courses of action for program and project success with metrics.
• Proactively identify mechanisms to improve mission performance.
• Use qualitative analytics techniques including multi-criteria decision analysis, causal mapping, and game theory.
• Use logistics and agent-based modeling and simulation.
• Conduct DOTMLPF-P spectrum analysis and beyond.
• Produce formal use cases and software change requests for technology insertion.
• Interface with software program offices and contractors.
• Conduct stakeholder analysis and create products for communications.
• Prepare and execute briefings and information papers on equipment issues.
