Job summary

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) is seeking a Data Analyst (Administrative Staff) to design and conduct policy-relevant housing research. The role collaborates with the Office of Multifamily Housing on allocation plans and partners to publish findings in reports and briefs.

You will use R Studio, Tableau, Stata, ArcGIS, and Python, translating data insights into accessible narratives for stakeholders and decision-makers. This position is based in Columbus, OH with standard full-time hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, City and Regional Planning, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or related field
  • 2 classes or 6 months' work experience with Tableau, Power BI, R, SAS, ESRI ArcGIS
  • 2 classes or 6 months' work experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct research of policy-relevant housing issues for OHFA
  • Work with the Office of Multifamily Housing on the Qualified Allocation Plan

In partnership with universities, state agencies & community-based organizations, the Office of Research & Analytics produces high quality data & actionable research that informs affordable housing policies throughout the state.

The Office of Research & Analytics is seeking a Data Analyst who will...

  • Design and conduct research of policy-relevant housing issues for OHFA

  • Work with the Office of Multifamily Housing on the Qualified Allocation Plan

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, City and Regional Planning, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or related field
  • 2 classes or 6 months' work experience with at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, R, State, SAS, ESRI ArcGIS
  • 2 classes or 6 months' work experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods

  • Ability to communicate effectively and convey complex information to a wide range of audiences
  • Strong understanding of the primary subject matter relevant to OHFA’s mission as well as the data resources that contribute to that work
