Job summary

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency seeks a Data Analyst in the Office of Research & Analytics to design and conduct policy-relevant housing research for OHFA, and to support the Qualified Allocation Plan and stakeholder reporting.

You will use R Studio, Tableau, Stata, ArcGIS, and Python to analyze data and prepare statistical and narrative reports, collaborating with agency partners to publish findings and inform affordable housing policy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, R, SAS, or ArcGIS recommended.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and convey complex information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct research of policy-relevant housing issues for OHFA.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Multifamily Housing on the Qualified Allocation Plan.
  • Prepare and publish research findings in statistical and narrative formats.

The Office of Research & Analytics is seeking a Data Analyst who will...

  • Design and conduct research of policy-relevant housing issues for OHFA
  • Work with the Office of Multifamily Housing on the Qualified Allocation Plan
  • Work with agency partners to prepare & publish research findings (e.g., statistical and narrative reports, policy briefs)
  • Use R Studio, Tableau, Stata, ArcGIS, Python to analyze data and prepare statistical and narrative reports

  • This position will work from OHFA's offices which are located at 2600 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, City and Regional Planning, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or related field
  • 2 classes or 6 months' work experience with at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, R, State, SAS, ESRI ArcGIS
  • 2 classes or 6 months' work experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods

  • Strong understanding of the primary subject matter relevant to OHFA’s mission as well as the data resources that contribute to that work
