Job summary

Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) seeks a Data Analyst to support policy-relevant housing research, analyzing data and delivering statistical and narrative reporting to inform OHFA’s research and policy discussions.

The role involves designing research on policy issues, collaborating on the Qualified Allocation Plan, and preparing reports using R, Tableau, Stata, ArcGIS, and Python to inform decision-making. Onsite at OHFA's Columbus office with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, City and Regional Planning, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or a related field
  • 2 classes or 6 months’ work experience with Tableau, Power BI, R, SAS, ESRI ArcGIS
  • 2 classes or 6 months’ work experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and convey complex information to a wide range of audiences
  • Strong understanding of OHFA’s mission and the data resources that contribute to that work

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct research of policy-relevant housing issues for OHFA
  • Collaborate with the Office of Multifamily Housing on the Qualified Allocation Plan
  • Publish research findings including statistical and narrative reports and policy briefs
  • Use R Studio, Tableau, Stata, ArcGIS, and Python to analyze data and prepare statistical and narrative reports
