Job description

SFR Analytics specializes in real estate data analytics, providing comprehensive insights on investor activity through our nationwide deed, mortgage, and assessor data that updates daily. Our data-driven content and analytics products help clients make informed decisions in the real estate market. Check out our published content at sfranalytics.substack.com.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours/week). In this role, you will help build out new features for our existing data products, assist in creating new data products, and contribute to our data-driven content initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement new features for our existing data products
  • Assist in the creation and development of new data analytics products
  • Analyze complex real estate datasets to extract actionable insights
  • Contribute to data-driven content for our publication and clients
  • Write efficient SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
  • Develop Python scripts for data processing, analysis, and visualization
  • Document methodologies and findings clearly for team members and clients

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python programming for data analysis (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, etc.)
  • Strong SQL skills for complex data querying and manipulation
  • Experience with data visualization techniques and tools
  • Ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience working with real estate data
  • Background in creating data-driven content or publications
  • Knowledge of geospatial data analysis
  • Experience with dashboard creation tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Background in statistical modeling or machine learning
