Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 to 5 years of experience as a data analyst or similar role.
• Strong SQL skills including joins and aggregation.
• Experience building reports/dashboards in SSRS, Power BI, Tableau or similar.
• Ability to translate business questions into data requirements and explain results to non-technical audiences.
• Attention to detail and ability to question results that don’t look right.

National Machinery LLC is looking for an on-site Data Analyst to support day-to-day reporting and analytics for production, engineering, purchasing, and finance. The role focuses on creating reliable insights from ERP and related systems, partnering with business users, and strengthening data quality through ongoing process improvements.

This position is based in Tiffin, OH and will require collaboration across teams to deliver reports and dashboards that are accurate, maintainable, and grounded in documented data logic.

What you’ll do

• Write and maintain SQL queries against the company’s ERP and related business systems to answer questions across the organization.
• Build and support reports and dashboards used by production, engineering, purchasing, and finance.
• Partner with business users to understand their requests, clarify requirements, and deliver outputs they can act on.
• Investigate data discrepancies and work with the team to identify root causes and corrections.
• Document data sources, definitions, and report logic so others can understand and maintain the work.
• Support ongoing data quality and reporting process improvements.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a data analyst, reporting analyst, or similar role.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregation, and the ability to read and troubleshoot queries written by others.
• Experience building reports or dashboards in a tool such as SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.

Technology exposure

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working with ERP or other enterprise business system data.
• Familiarity with both Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle environments.
• Advanced Excel experience and/or scripting experience in Python (or similar) for data preparation.

Work environment

• Office and shop environment.
• Steel-toed shoes and safety glasses required in shop areas.
