About You:
We are seeking a Data Analyst to support our Analytics and Valera team remotely. Join a dedicated team committed to improving mental health care, supported by the latest technology and systems to ensure efficient and effective work.
Essential Functions:
- Work with large data sets and build metrics to provide meaningful insights to leadership around Clinical Outcomes, Revenue Cycle Management, Finance, Business Development, and Marketing.
- Identify key insights to leverage claims and other business measure data further.
- Build and maintain internal-facing, self-service dashboards to support day-to-day decisions for department leads.
- Develop end-to-end processes around the collection, integration, and reporting of data from new and existing vendors and partnerships.
- Partner with department leads to understand and improve current clinical and operational practices and workflows.
- Communicate technical information in an accessible manner to both executive and partner audiences, including verbal presentations to leadership on key findings and updates on business process adjustments.
- Perform technical tasks such as creating business requirements documents, user training manuals, and requirements traceability.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis using SQL, AWS tools, Python, and spreadsheets.
- Periodically review the progress of recommended and implemented changes to ensure ongoing effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Engage in ad hoc projects as requested by the manager.
Qualifications:
Required (Education/Experiences/Competencies):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
- 1-3 years of Analytics experience in a technology-focused organization, high-growth startup, healthcare company, or similar environment
- Hands-on experience working with non-technical end-users, including requirements gathering, dashboard design, and technical communication
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (AWS Athena, Presto, PostgreSQL, or others)
- Python experience, particularly with external API integrations and data processing using AWS Lambda or similar platforms
- Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH)
- Experience building impactful BI dashboards (Quicksight, Tableau, Looker, Excel, etc.)
- Experience managing the full analytics cycle: data management, cleaning, analysis, and visualization
Preferred:
- Experience with EHR, claims, and marketing data, including JSON data structures
- Knowledge of clinical coding (ICD-10, CPT), medication data (NDC, RxNorm), and health insurance components
- Interest or experience with AWS tools (S3, Athena, Lambda, CloudWatch)
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a collaborative mindset
- Innovative and adaptable approach to new tools and methods
- Self-service and automation-focused mindset for reporting improvements
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of version control with GitHub
- Interest in developing advanced analytical models
- Experience with Google Ads
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA) and Agile methodologies
We value fair work and compensate this role between $90,000 and $100,000, with potential for an annual performance bonus.
