Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center’s University Behavioral Associates (UBA) in the Bronx is seeking a Data Analyst – Child Welfare Programs to support quality assurance across NYC ACS funded services. You will build data systems, create dashboards, and translate clinical information into measurable indicators for leadership and frontline teams.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, RedCap and PC-SAS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in data analysis or a related role.
• Advanced Excel skills with PivotTables, Power Query, and dashboards.
• Familiarity with SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, RedCap and PC-SAS.
• Solid understanding of database management and data visualization.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and secure data handling practices.

University Behavioral Associates (UBA), part of Montefiore Medical Center, is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Analyst to support quality assurance and improvement efforts across several child welfare programs funded by NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in strengthening program performance and outcomes by:

• Building and maintaining systems that integrate clinical, operational, and administrative data
• Translating qualitative clinical information into measurable indicators
• Designing data collection tools, workflows, and dashboards
• Supporting clinical teams in applying assessment findings
• Creating clear data summaries and visualizations for leadership and frontline teams
• Conducting data validation and quality assurance (automated or manual)
• Training staff on documentation standards, reporting systems, and data best practices

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s required, Master’s degree preferred in a related field
• 1-3 years experience.
• Strong experience with Excel and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills needed; including PivotTables, Power Query, complex formulas, dashboards, conditional formatting, data validation)
• Familiarity with related programs/ tools such as SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, RedCap, PC-SAS
• Solid understanding of database management and data visualization
• Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 CFR, and secure data-handling practices
• A detail-oriented mindset and a passion for improving systems that support vulnerable populations

Salary Range: $66,300-$80,000

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
