The Data Analyst — Marketing Analytics is responsible for analyzing marketing, customer, campaign, and sales data to measure marketing performance and support data-driven decision-making. This position develops reports and dashboards, evaluates campaign effectiveness, analyzes customer behavior, monitors marketing KPIs, and provides actionable insights to improve customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and marketing performance.
Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret marketing and customer data from multiple sources.
Analyze marketing campaign performance across digital, social media, email, search, advertising, and other channels.
Develop and maintain marketing dashboards, reports, and performance scorecards.
Track and analyze key marketing KPIs such as leads, conversions, customer acquisition cost, return on ad spend, engagement, retention, and revenue contribution.
Analyze customer acquisition funnels and identify opportunities to improve conversion rates.
Perform customer segmentation based on demographics, behavior, purchasing patterns, engagement, or other relevant characteristics.
Analyze customer journeys and identify trends across acquisition, conversion, engagement, and retention stages.
Measure campaign effectiveness and compare performance across channels, audiences, campaigns, and time periods.
Conduct cohort analysis to evaluate customer retention, engagement, and lifetime value.
Perform marketing attribution analysis to understand the contribution of different channels and touchpoints.
Conduct A/B testing and analyze results to evaluate marketing campaigns, messaging, offers, landing pages, and customer experiences.
Develop SQL queries to extract and analyze marketing, customer, sales, and campaign data.
Integrate data from CRM, marketing automation, advertising, web analytics, sales, and other business systems.
Validate marketing data and investigate discrepancies, missing data, and tracking issues.
Develop automated reporting processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of marketing analytics.
Analyze website, mobile application, email, social media, and digital advertising performance where applicable.
Monitor marketing spend and analyze campaign costs, revenue, and return on investment.
Support marketing forecasting, budget planning, and performance projections.
Conduct competitive, market, and customer trend analysis using available data.
Identify patterns and insights that can support marketing strategy and campaign planning.
Translate analytical findings into clear recommendations for marketing teams and business leaders.
Present marketing performance insights through dashboards, reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product, Customer Success, and Data/IT teams.
Maintain data definitions, reporting methodologies, KPI calculations, and analytical documentation.
Support data governance, privacy, security, and responsible use of customer information.
Identify opportunities to improve marketing measurement, data quality, reporting, and analytical processes.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in marketing analytics, data analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytical role.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with marketing and customer datasets.
Experience with marketing analytics and reporting tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
Strong understanding of marketing metrics, customer funnels, conversion analysis, and campaign measurement.
Experience with data cleaning, validation, transformation, and analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to translate business and marketing questions into analytical solutions.
Experience with Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, or similar web analytics platforms.
Experience with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, or similar systems.
Experience analyzing paid search, paid social, display, email, SEO, and other digital marketing channels.
Knowledge of marketing attribution methodologies.
Experience with customer lifetime value (CLV/LTV) and customer acquisition cost (CAC) analysis.
Experience with A/B testing and statistical analysis.
Working knowledge of Python or R.
Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Azure.
