Job summary

Pierce County seeks a visionary leader to build and grow the enterprise data and AI program, reporting to the CIO. You’ll shape governance, policies, and tools to support county-wide decision-making and public value.

You will assemble a multidisciplinary team, partner with departments across the organization, and advance data warehouses, lakes, dashboards, AI, and intelligent automation while ensuring privacy and security.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise data programs and governance.
• Ability to translate business needs into data and AI strategies.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of county-wide data and AI strategy.
• Collaborate with CISO and CIO to govern data and AI.
• Establish data standards for classification, quality, and privacy.
• Oversee privacy program and responsible AI practices.
• Build and lead multidisciplinary teams and manage staff.
