Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP seeks a Senior Program Manager to lead the delivery and governance of complex Data & AI programs in Chicago. You will partner with Product Management, IT, and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into executable plans, manage dependencies, and provide leadership with clear visibility into program performance.

The role requires a bachelor's degree, 5+ years of program management experience, and proficiency with Jira/Confluence/Aha!.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of program or project management experience leading complex, cross-functional programs.
• Experience coordinating delivery across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and related tools; experience with agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple complex Data & AI programs, coordinating workstreams, milestones, dependencies, risks, and resources.
• Partner with Product Management and other stakeholders to translate priorities into executable program plans with milestones and success measures.
• Establish and maintain governance, planning cadences, reporting, and documentation.
• Monitor program health, risks, and KPIs; escalate significant risks and drive corrective action.
• Develop dashboards and executive communications for timely visibility into performance and blockers.
• Coordinate across teams to manage cross-functional dependencies and align on commitments.
• Facilitate program reviews and governance forums to support decision-making and accountability.
• Advise colleagues on delivery strategy, risk management, and program management practices.
• Evaluate and improve processes, tools, and standards (Jira, Confluence, Aha!) for consistency and predictability.
