Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned data strategy leader to define domain strategies, modernize data platforms, and drive governance across regulated payments environments. You will co-create roadmaps with delivery teams, assess new requests for simplification, and ensure regulatory alignment.

You will influence portfolio intake, lead the adoption of data patterns, and own governance with DSME. This role requires collaboration across global teams and experience with SAFe or similar frameworks.

Job description

• Assess new requests to drive data landscape simplification, modernization, and governance
• Influence scope and design decisions during portfolio intake and discovery
• Lead adoption of target data patterns and co-own business-driven governance with DSME
• Ensure control efficacy and compliance readiness
• Lead strategic enablers during PI Planning and enforce alignment with enterprise blueprints and standardized data patterns
• Validate Epic acceptance criteria for strategic and governance fit
• Advise on design trade-offs, prioritization, and dependency management
• Capture and prioritize client, regulatory, and operational use cases to drive reuse and measurable value
• Promote canonical data contracts, shared services, and interoperability across domains
• Champion culture change and pattern libraries
• Generate and communicate the program vision and roadmap to stakeholders, product owners, and teams
• Oversee budgets for one or more products with finance partners
• Define business capabilities and align them to products or create new products
• Ensure product availability by partnering with demand and capacity teammates
• Develop business cases for new products and additional features
• Partner with product owners and teams to maximize value through technology and subject-matter expertise

Requirements

• 10+ years in data, architecture, or product roles
• 5+ years in Payments/Treasury or banking
• Proven delivery in regulated environments
• Global Payments domain expertise, including payment rails, clearing/settlement, cross-border flows, correspondent banking, and treasury/payments operations
• Knowledge of ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT/MX
• Regulatory and reporting knowledge, including PSD2/Open Banking, AML/Sanctions (GFCC), NFRR/FRR reporting controls, audit readiness, and data retention/lineage requirements
• Data strategy and architecture expertise, including canonical data modeling, shared contracts/APIs, event-driven and batch patterns, lineage/metadata, reference/master data, and data quality controls
• Governance leadership, including design-pattern stewardship, control frameworks, standards enforcement, and policy-to-implementation traceability
• Enterprise alignment experience with Enterprise Architects, blueprint adherence, pattern libraries, and PI Planning of strategic enablers (SAFe or similar)
• Product management experience with roadmap definition, value hypothesis, backlog curation, Epic/Feature acceptance criteria, and use-case capture and prioritization
• Portfolio intake and discovery experience, including scope simplification/modernization and dependency and risk management across CDPO verticals
• Executive-level storytelling, cross-functional influence, and multi-location collaboration across EMEA and global teams
• Modern data practices, data mesh/product-based operating models, event streaming, and interoperability standards
• Cloud and modernization experience with platforms such as Azure or AWS, data lakes/warehouses, streaming, and real-time payments integration
• Exposure to AI/ML, generative AI, intelligent automation, knowledge management, or advanced analytics use cases
• Ability to work first shift in the United States of America
• 40 hours per week
