Job summary

Peraton seeks a Lead Data & AI Analyst/Engineer to drive AI data foundation, ensuring data is governed, trusted, and accessible for AI initiatives. You will lead data planning, modeling, and pipeline development across CIO assets, while coordinating with stakeholders and IRAD teams.

The role requires a US citizen with TS/SCI eligibility and hands-on experience in data warehousing, cloud data services, and BI tooling.

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant field required; 5–7 years in data analytics/engineering.
Experience delivering data solutions for government/defense or large programs.
Strong SQL and relational database skills (PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
Hands-on ETL/ELT design using Airflow, Informatica, Talend, dbt or equivalent.
Cloud experience with AWS/Azure including managed data services.
BI/Visualization proficiency with Power BI or similar tools.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data lake architecture.
U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

Define, document and maintain AI/data requirements and quality standards.
Document data domain models, relationships, and data flows across systems.
Ensure Growth & Business Operations data assets are inventoried, normalized and discoverable.
Participate in data governance forums and represent AI/data priorities.
Partner with CIO to enforce data quality standards for AI workflows.
Develop and manage AI-specific data pipelines in lakehouse/warehouse environments.
Collaborate with IRAD engineers to integrate pipelines into AI platform infra.
Define data access patterns and export/query interfaces for AI use.
Implement data versioning and lineage tracking from source to output.
