Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Database Administrator – Sybase for an onsite engagement in Salt Lake City, UT. This 6-month contract pays a W2 rate of $42/hr with no 1099/C2C/third parties and requires strong Sybase experience.

You will provide production support across global environments, manage AutoSys scheduling, and work with multiple database platforms including DB2/UDB, PostgreSQL, Hadoop, SQL Server, MongoDB, and Oracle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Database Administration experience.
• Expertise with Sybase ASE, IQ and Replication (v12/v15/v16).
• RHEL Linux administration (v5–v8).
• DB2/UDB experience including HADR and design.
• Experience with migrations, upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Banking/financial services domain experience.
• Bash scripting and job scheduling (AutoSys, Cron).
• Ability to work with global teams.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Provide database administration and production support across global environments.

• Monitor database infrastructure, alerts, incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage AutoSys scheduling and database operational tasks.
• Support BC/DR testing and cross-regional database infrastructure.
• Collaborate with application and IT support teams to resolve issues.
• Follow change management procedures and create operational policies.
• Support database projects including migrations and upgrades.
