Job Summary

The DAS Technician is a hands-on role that will work closely with the Construction Manager and other Installation Technicians. The duties will include, but not limited to:

• Installing DAS and BTS wireless equipment, including outdoor and indoor antennas, coaxial cable, CATV cable, fiber optic cable, CAT 5 cable, DC Power Cable, and other components to NEC standards.
• Mounting rack, wall, and ceiling electronic DAS components.
• Fusion splicing fiber and testing.
• Connectorizing 50 ohm RF cable and testing.
• Troubleshooting new and existing DAS systems.
• Performing RF coverage testing and optimization, pre and post construction.
• Conducting RF and cabling site surveys.
• Wiring DC power plants and low voltage circuits.
• Performing RF cable sweep, PIM, and fiber testing.
• Completing job documentation and records.
• Keeping clients and the company informed of installation progress.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience with BTS and DAS installations.

• Ability to install, terminate, and splice fiber optic cables.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work at heights using proper fall protection.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint).
• Understanding of project scope and requirements.
• Willingness to travel 80-100%.

Working Conditions
