Job Summary
The DAS Technician is a hands-on role working closely with the Construction Manager and other Installation Technicians. Responsibilities include:
- Installing DAS and BTS wireless equipment, including outdoor and indoor antennas, coaxial cable, fiber optic cable, CATV cable, CAT 5 cable, DC Power Cable, and other components to NEC standards.
Responsibilities
- Installing DAS wireless equipment with various cables and components to NEC standards at customer sites.
- Mounting rack, wall, and ceiling electronic DAS components.
- Fusion splicing fiber and testing.
- Connectorizing 50-ohm RF cables and testing.
- Troubleshooting DAS systems.
- RF coverage testing and optimization pre- and post-construction.
- Conducting RF and cabling site surveys.
- Utilizing computer skills such as IP interfaces to GUI programmable systems.
- Wiring DC power plants and low voltage circuits.
- Performing RF cable sweep, PIM, and fiber testing.
- Completing documentation and record keeping.
- Keeping clients and the company informed about installation progress.

Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in BTS and DAS installations.
- Knowledge of DAS industry terminology.
- Ability to install, terminate, and splice fiber optic cables.
- Valid driver's license.
- Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work at heights using proper fall protection.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Understanding of project scope and requirements.
- Willingness to travel 80-100%.
Working Conditions
- Use of hand and power tools.
- Climbing stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
- Carrying loads upstairs and outdoors.
- Exposure to noisy, dusty, or hazardous conditions.
- Work hours typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with support outside regular hours as needed.
- Indoor and outdoor work in variable conditions.
- Regional travel required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
