Job summary

Mayvin seeks experienced SMEs and instructors to deliver DART training for first responders and emergency personnel. Training blends classroom, hands-on exercises, and field demonstrations at EMRTC in Socorro, NM, with travel to local/state sites as needed.

Candidates bring 3+ years in drone operations for first responders, deep UAS/C-UAS knowledge, and a current FAA Part 107 certificate. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for curriculum development and delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of First Responder drone flight experience.
• Substantial subject matter expertise in UAS assessment, tactics, response operations, and counter-UAS detection equipment.
• Law enforcement experience (current or previous).
• Remote Pilot Certificate with a small UAS rating under FAA Part 107.
• High degree of organization and verbal and written communication skills and technical software skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction across a wide area of UAS, Counter-UAS technologies and threats.
• Research and identify resources relevant to DART training, threat mitigation, and counter technologies/strategies.
• Instruct on topics such as detection strategies, identification methods, threat assessment and practical response techniques.
• Review course materials for conformance with US law, FAA, DOW, DHS, and FBI/FBIP regulations.
• Participate in curriculum development and updates based on lessons learned and NMIMT/FEMA NTED standards.
• Maintain and comply with FAA Part 107 and NMIMT Instructor Certification Program requirements.
