Job summary

Regents School of Austin is actively seeking a Dance Teacher & Knightline Director to lead high-quality dance instruction and direct the Knightline drill team within our Fine Arts program.

The role requires teaching athletes across ages, directing rehearsals, choreographing routines, and coordinating performances at school events and competitions, in close collaboration with the Director of Fine Arts and school leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dance, Fine Arts, Education, or a related field preferred.
• Experience teaching dance and directing a drill team.
• Experience with choreography, competitions, performances, and team direction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach dance classes in accordance with the school's curriculum and philosophy.
• Develop age-appropriate instruction building technical skill, artistry, strength, and discipline.
• Plan lessons, rehearsals, choreography, and performances for students.
• Direct Knightline rehearsals and performances and coordinate appearances.
• Coordinate Knightline schedules, events, and team processes.
• Build positive relationships with students and communicate with parents and leadership.
• Maintain a safe, encouraging learning environment and uphold the school's Christian vision.
