Commonpoint in Forest Hills, NY is hiring a Dance Instructor in the Health & Wellness Department to provide youth dance classes for children aged 4–12. The role focuses on teaching ballet, Zumba, jazz, and other styles, with hands-on learning and lesson planning.
The position is in-person, non-union, and reports to the Senior Director of Health & Wellness. Working schedule includes Mondays 4:00–4:45pm (ages 5–7) and 5:00–5:45pm (ages 8–11).

To continue advancing the impact we have across the communities we serve, Commonpoint is hiring a Dance Instructor situated within the Health & Wellness Department. The Health & Wellness Department plays a vital role in providing youth dance classes for our local community. The individual hired as Dance Instructor are key members of the Health & Wellness team. The primary responsibilities include teaching dance skills and techniques. Dance Instructors should have experience teaching ballet, zumba, jazz and other forms of dance. They are expected to assess dancer’s skills and abilities to help create a fun and nurturing environment with hands-on-learning and lesson planning for children aged 4-12 years old. Maintain supervision and care of each dancer of the dance program. Directly responsible for communicating to Senior Director any class concerns. Represent the Commonpoint Queens in a positive light at all times. . This role reports directly to the Senior Director of the Health & Wellness Department.
