Job summary

Commonpoint in Forest Hills, NY is hiring a Dance Instructor in the Health & Wellness Department to provide youth dance classes for children aged 4–12. The role focuses on teaching ballet, Zumba, jazz, and other styles, with hands-on learning and lesson planning.

The position is in-person, non-union, and reports to the Senior Director of Health & Wellness. Working schedule includes Mondays 4:00–4:45pm (ages 5–7) and 5:00–5:45pm (ages 8–11).

Qualifications

• Professional Dance background a plus.
• BFA in Dance a plus.
• CPR/First Aid certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties accurately and efficiently according to procedures.
• Safeguard equipment and materials; support cost-effective operations.
• Collaborate with supervisors and cross-department teams for timely task completion.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment for staff and public.
