Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers seeks a Visual Arts and Performing Arts Associate to support staff with high-quality visual and performing arts programming. The role develops curriculum for dance-focused topics and collaborates with leaders to create training for new Club Leaders, delivered in-person or remotely.

The hybrid position combines work at sites and the main office, with opportunities for in-person and remote training, supporting a dynamic, student-centered expanded learning environment and ongoing

Qualifications

• AA Degree in Child Development or related field preferred or 1 year of group-leading experience with 6 units.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required for in-person work.
• Experience across Folklorico, Hip-Hop, Modern, and Cheer.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to travel to Woodcraft Rangers regions to support training.
• Computer literacy and willingness to learn.
• Stable Internet access.
• Valid LIVE Scan.

Responsibilities

• Identify or develop curriculum material to support high-quality performing arts programming.
• Identify or develop and facilitate training materials for staff development.
• Evolve and deliver ongoing training, including New Hire Orientation and follow-up sessions.
• Research best practices in youth development to inform curriculum evolution.
• Collaborate with Learning and Program Teams to identify needs and coordinate training.
• Coordinate events/field trips for performing/visual arts programs.
• Lead train-the-trainer academies and trainings as needed.
• Develop tools and resources to support program delivery.
• Work with VAPA Manager to set targets and evaluate progress.
