Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers is seeking a Visual and Performing Arts Specialist, Performing Arts, in Moreno Valley, CA. The role supports curriculum development, coaching, and on-site training for afterschool performing arts clubs with emphasis on ballet folklórico and related styles.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with a hybrid work arrangement: in-person at the main office/school sites and remote work. Requires travel within the Greater LA area and strong collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• AA Degree in Child Development or a related field is preferred or minimum of one year of experience as a group leader working with children and 6 units in child development.
• Experience across multiple dance genres: Folklorico, Hip-Hop, Modern, and Cheer
• Ability to travel to Woodcraft Rangers regions to support training and in-person work

Responsibilities

• Identify or develop curriculum material in support of high-quality performing arts programing and staff development.
• Identify or develop and facilitate/deliver training material in support of high-quality programing and staff development.
• Evolve and facilitate/deliver existing training as part of staff support, including ongoing New Hire Orientation and additional follow-up training as needed.
• Research best practices in youth development to inform development and ongoing curriculum and training evolution.
• Collaborate with Learning Team and Program Team to identify organizational, program, and team needs.
• Coordinate training logistics and events for performing arts programs.
