Job summary

Berkshire Lake Arts Camp in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts is seeking an enthusiastic dance instructor for a 6-week summer program serving girls aged 7-15. You will teach 3–5 classes daily, collaborating with our Dance Director (a former Rockette) and a team of instructors to craft engaging curricula and help campers prepare for showcases.

When not teaching, you’ll supervise an assigned age group, support campers’ growth, and take part in paid training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching dance or dance captain experience.
• Notable prior personal performance experience in a variety of styles.
• Organization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaching dance classes to campers – between 3-5 classes a day.
• Collaborate with our experienced Dance Director (a former Rockette!) and a team of other dance instructors.
• Help campers prepare for their end-of-session showcases.
• When not teaching, you’ll be assigned to an age group of girls to look after and care for.
• Opportunities to work on your own craft (sit in on classes during time-off, etc.).
