Job summary

A summer camp organization in Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated Dance Instructor for their summer program. This role involves teaching dance classes to campers, mentoring them, and collaborating with experienced instructors. Ideal candidates should have teaching or leadership experience in dance, strong communication skills, and enjoy working with children. The position includes paid training and the opportunity to gain internship credit while enjoying the beautiful summer setting by Lake Ashmere.

Qualifications

• Prior experience teaching dance or dance captain experience.
• Notable prior personal performance experience in a variety of styles.

Responsibilities

• Teaching dance classes to campers – between 3-5 classes a day.
• Collaborate with our experienced Dance Director and other dance instructors.
• Help campers prepare for their end-of-session showcases.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Teaching dance classes to campers – between 3-5 classes a day
• Collaborate with our experienced Dance Director (a former Rockette!) and a team of other dance instructors
• Help campers prepare for their end-of-session showcases
• When not teaching, you’ll be assigned to an age group of girls to look after and care for
• Opportunities to work on your own craft (sit in on classes during time-off, etc.)
