Job summary

Atmos Energy Corporation is seeking a Damage Prevention professional responsible for accurately locating and marking gas facilities, training junior staff, and performing advanced line locates. You will read system maps, ensure map accuracy, and coordinate with crews and contractors to prevent damage.

The role involves investigating gas facility damages, maintaining relationships with excavators and municipalities, and reporting records to comply with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to communicate with internal/external customers and stakeholders.
• Records management system experience is required.
• Requires ability to utilize company systems for data entry and retrieval tasks.

Responsibilities

• Accurately locates and marks company gas facilities.
• Trains and mentors entry level technicians.
• Performs more difficult line locates.
• Reads and interprets system maps and maintains accuracy of maps and records.
• Works with crews and contractors for re-marking to prevent damage.
• Conducts investigations of gas facility damages and determines root causes.
• Maintains relationships with area excavators, municipalities and company personnel.
