Job summary

Xcel Energy offers an internship in its Damage Prevention group, starting May 24, 2027, designed to develop practical skills through hands-on training and cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders across the Gas organization.

Interns will present to senior leadership, gain exposure to multiple business units, and have opportunities to network with other interns across the company. Hybrid work supports flexible scheduling and in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• Current student, Freshman or higher.
• Enrolled in college pursuing Finance, Accounting, Business, MIS/CS/Data Analytics.
• Driver license and personal vehicle.
• Hybrid work policy requiring in-person commuting for internship hours.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the monthly financial review/reporting process.
• Assist with Damage Prevention Investigations.
• Excavator outreach and education.
• Assist with updates, data maintenance, and analysis.
