Job summary

Xcel Energy is offering an internship focused on analyzing gas emergency response data to identify trends and improve operational efficiency. You will work with large datasets, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making to enhance emergency response processes and outcomes.

The role includes hands-on experience with Power BI, UKG/CADO support, and a path toward developing skills in energy operations. This is a May 31, 2027 start with potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance or Engineering.
• Able to work full-time during summer and part-time during school year with hybrid in-person work.

Responsibilities

• Monthly OT Report: run, clean, validate and move to Power BI visuals.
• UKG / CADO Support: assist, review time-entry screens, troubleshoot issues.
• Response-Time Report: create a report, compare pre/post on-call changes, identify trends.
• Vac Trailer Program: discuss capacity, storage locations, and standardized deployment process.
