GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. seeks Civil/Dam Safety Engineers to join their Dam and Levee Safety Group in Norwood, Massachusetts.

The role requires 4–10 years of engineering experience and a solid understanding of civil/geotechnical engineering principles related to dams and levees. Candidates will conduct fieldwork, analyze subsurface data, perform advanced geotechnical analyses, and prepare technical documentation.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• MS in Civil Engineering with geotechnical focus is preferred.
• Experience or academic training with geotechnical computer software packages such as GeoStudio applications is preferred.
• 4+ years of professional work experience involving dams or related structures is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct dam and levee safety inspections and fieldwork.
• Review subsurface data to develop input parameters for geotechnical analyses.
• Assist in laboratory testing to support input parameter development.
• Perform seepage, slope stability, and related analyses for embankment dams and levees.
• Execute finite element analyses for geotechnical projects including excavations and ground improvements.
• Prepare technical memos, reports, and design documentation.
• Assist with permit applications, construction plans, and project management.
